Zoe Tillman | Bloomberg News (TNS)Minutes into a hearing on whether Donald Trump is constitutionally barred from being president again, Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson jumped in with her biggest concern: There could be “chaos” if some states keep Trump off 2024 ballots while others allow him on.“Should we do it,” she asked, “even if we could do it?”It’s a question looming over the growing number of lawsuits seeking to disqualify Trump from another term in the White House because of his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. What began as a largely academic exercise a few years ago over a constitutional ban on “insurrectionists” holding office collided with reality last week as judges in Minnesota and Colorado for the first time heard evidence and arguments.Lawyers and judges involved in these cases have signaled they believe it’s ultimately a fight for the U.S. Supreme Court to resolve. CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland Browns starting left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. dodged a season-ending knee injury but will miss at least four weeks after being hurt in Sunday’s win over Arizona. The Browns already lost star running back Nick Chubb and right tackle Jack Conklin for the year with knee injuries and feared the same with Wills, who went down in the third quarter while blocking on a running play. However, coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Wills sustained only an MCL injury. He’ll go on the injured list and will have to miss four games. The earliest Wills could be back is Dec. 10 against Jacksonville.“Jed’s played some really strong games for us,” Stefanski said on a Zoom call. “I thought he was playing well in that last one yesterday as well. So disappointed for him, but I know he’ll work really hard and we’ll get him back out there.”Stefanski said the coaching staff is still working through plans to adjust being without Wills. The most likely scenario is for swing...Dodgers exercise 2024 club option on reliever Blake Treinen

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Reliever Blake Treinen’s 2024 club option was exercised Monday by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The complicated option’s price appeared to be $1 million because of shoulder surgery he had last November. The 35-year-old right-hander has been limited to five major league innings since the start of the 2022 season as the result of shoulder issues that required the surgery, which involved the labrum and rotator cuff repair. Treinen began a minor league rehab assignment in August, but only threw 2 1/3 innings over three appearances. He first signed with the Dodgers in December 2019. Treinen is 36-31 with a 2.86 ERA and 79 saves in nine seasons with Washington (2014-17), Oakland (2017-19) and the Dodgers.___AP MLB: https://apnews.com/hub/mlbSourceBrazil brings teenage sensation Endrick for World Cup qualifying clash against Argentina

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Brazil coach Fernando Diniz brought 17-year-old striker Endrick to the senior national team for the first time Monday for two big clashes of World Cup qualifying in November: Colombia away and Argentina at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.Endrick will join Real Madrid next year and has been key for Palmeiras to challenge for this year’s Brazilian championship title. Casemiro and Neymar, two frequent starters of the team, were left out due to injury.Brazil will face Colombia in Barranquilla on Nov. 16 and host the World Cup champion five days later. Lionel Messi’s Argentina leads South American qualifying with 12 points in four matches. Brazil is third with seven points and failed to win both rounds of the round-robin competition in October; a home 1-1 draw with Venezuela and a 2-0 loss at Uruguay put more pressure on Diniz, who will remain on the job until June next year in the hopes Carlo Ancelotti will take over.Six teams from South America ...7 bystanders wounded in shooting at Texas college homecoming party, authorities say
