2 teenage boys charged after NW Side armed robberies CHICAGO — Two teenage boys — one 15 and another 16 — were charged Tuesday evening with armed robbery after police said they connected them to a pair of Northwest Side robberies that happened Monday.According to the Chicago Police Department, both juveniles have been charged with three felonies; two counts of armed robbery with a firearm, and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/vehicle under the age of 21.Police said the two were arrested around 9:40 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of North Western Avenue after they were identified as two of the offenders who, less than 30 minutes earlier, took property at gunpoint from a 36-year-old woman in the 1600 block of North Rockwell Street. (WFLA) -- Idalia is now expected to make landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida as an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 hurricane, according to the National Hurricane Center.As of the 11 p.m. update, the National Hurricane Center said Idalia is moving north at around 18 mph. Monster Jam trucks damaged in California highway fire (KTXL) — Two of the beloved monster trucks featured in the Monster Jam motorsports event were damaged Tuesday morning when the semi-trailer they were being transported in became engulfed in flames. The tractor-trailer caught fire on Highway 50 in Sacramento around 8:30 a.m., according to the Sacramento Fire Department. A Sacramento driver spotted the fire from an overpass, capturing video, seen in the player above, of flames rising from the trailer as the truck traveled down the highway. Black smoke billowed from the trailer, casting the traffic behind the truck in a dark shadow. 4-year-old boy dies after being pulled from Fridley pond A 4-year-old boy died Tuesday after being found unresponsive in a pond in Fridley, authorities said.Fridley police around 1:30 p.m. were sent to a report of a child who had left a home and was missing near the 1600 block of Rice Creek Road Northeast, the Anoka County sheriff’s office said.Shortly after arriving, officers located the unresponsive boy in a nearby pond. Fridley firefighters and Allina paramedics arrived at the scene and administered lifesaving measures.
